A fairly weak system in the North Sea will move into mainland Europe on Friday. The system will push into continent near Denmark and will advance east-northeast into the Baltic States through the day. As it progresses, associated warm and cold fronts will trail southwestward from the system and will move through Germany southeastward into Poland and Croatia through the day. Expect areas of light to moderate rain showers from Denmark through Germany and into northern France. Precipitation will change into snow as the fronts progress inland and are met with colder temperatures. To the north of the low, a frontal boundary will move through Scandinavia, bringing snow showers Finland and Sweden.

Meanwhile, the southern tail of the aforementioned cold front will stall as it extends across the British Isles. Limited moisture pooling along the front will trigger chances of precipitation primarily in Ireland and increased cloud cover in southwestern United Kingdom. Chances of precipitation will increase in Ireland and the western United Kingdom as a much larger low pressure system pushes across Iceland. A frontal boundary associated with this system will create snow showers along the western Norway coast as it approaches.

Elsewhere, high pressure building into the Bay of Biscay and the Celtic Sea will provide generally dry and warmer weather to the eastern United Kingdom, much of France and the Iberian Peninsula. .
