Active weather disturbances will trek across northern Europe on Tuesday as high pressure spreads across the southern half of the nation. The area of high pressure will span from the Iberian Peninsula through the day, providing drier and calmer weather conditions to much of southern Europe. Expect a moderate warming trend to occur during the next couple of days as fair weather conditions persist across much of the region. Just outside of this pleasant weather bubble, moist southwest flow associated with a trough of low pressure in the western Mediterranean will fuel more showers in southern Italy and Serbia.

While high pressure dominates much of the south, disturbances from the Atlantic will be directed across northern Europe. A complex low will push across northern Scandinavia, bringing strong winds and moderate to heavy snow to the western shores of Norway during the early morning and light rain, sleet, and snow to inland Norway, Sweden, and Finland through the rest of the day. Associated warm fronts will also stir up precipitation in the northern mainland. Warm fronts will bring a wave of generally light snow showers to from parts of the Baltic States through Germany in the morning, followed by rain and sleet during the afternoon and evening.

For the British Isles, a pair of warm and cold fronts will parade across the isles on Tuesday with limited moisture. Expect areas of fog and increased cloud cover during the day with mild temperatures, followed by chances of rain during the evening.
