Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, May 26, 2013.
Areas of wet weather will persist for Asia on Sunday as a low pressure system continues moving eastward over China. Hong Kong will be partly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and highs in the mid-80s(F)/ upper 20s(C), while Shanghai will be overcast and breezy with a chance of rain and highs in the mid-70s(F)/ lower 20s(C). Beijing will be overcast with a chance of rain late and highs also in the mid-70s(F)/ lower 20s(C).
In the East, high pressure east of Japan will linger over the Sea of Japan, maintaining dry and sunny conditions for the Korean Peninsula and Japan. Tokyo will be partly cloudy with highs in the mid-70s(F)/ lower 20s(C), while Seoul will be overcast with highs near 80(F)/ 27(C).
In Australia, a broad area of low pressure over the Great Australian Bight continues pushing warm and dry air over most of the country. However to the southeast, a system over New Zealand pushes some moisture into southeastern Australia, kicking up a few coastal showers over Tasmania. Sydney will be partly cloudy and dry with highs in the upper 60s(F)/ near 20(C).
