* Winds: increasing to southwest 15 to 20 mph with gusts around 30 mph late in the afternoon.
* Wave heights: becoming 2 to 3 feet by late in the afternoon. The biggest waves will be along the Eastern Shores of area lakes.
* Small boats will be prone to capsizing and should get off of lake waters before winds and chop increase.

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a Fire Weather Watch... which is in effect from Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.
The strongest winds this week are likely occur Tuesday afternoon and evening across Lassen County south to eastern Sierra County. West winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts 35 to 40 mph are forecast to combine with afternoon humidity of 5 to 15 percent along and south of a Bogard to Ravendale line. North of this line... minimum humidity is expected to be higher... near 20 percent. With fuels rapidly drying across the area... potential weather conditions are conducive to rapid fire growth.
