... A wintry mix of precipitation is possible today into tonight...
A strong upper level low pressure system over northern Mexico is
expected to move northeast into The Big Bend region on Tuesday
and then northeast into north central Texas by early Wednesday
morning.
A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Fisher... Nolan...
Coke... and Sterling counties where mixed precipitation of
rain... sleet... or snow may result in accumulations of up to an
inch.
Elsewhere... temperatures are expected to become cold enough for
the rain to change over to snow or sleet for areas west of a line
from Abilene to Sonora. However... accumulations are expected to
be very light. A rain and snow mix is expected to develop over
the remainder of west central Texas Tuesday night.
The precipitation may become all snow late Tuesday night into
Wednesday morning and continue through mid day mainly north of a
San Angelo to Brownwood line as the upper system moves east of
the area.
