Widespread low clouds and patchy fog will continue over portions of the northern mountains...northeast Highlands...central mountains... and Estancia valley of New Mexico through the overnight hours. Showers...thunderstorms...and higher elevation snow showers will continue to develop as well. Snow levels will generally begin near 7500 feet and will gradually lower to about 6500 feet by day break. Little accumulation is expected through 530 am...however visibilities will reduce to less than a mile in some high terrain locales due to patchy fog and shower activity. Also...gusty winds and occasional cloud to ground lightning can be expected near any thunderstorms.

Patchy fog in the morning. Rain and snow showers in the morning...then showers and thunderstorms and high elevation snow showers in the afternoon. Snow accumulation 1 to 3 inches...except 4 to 6 inches above 7500 feet. Highs in the upper 30s to mid 40s... except in the 20s to upper 30s over the higher elevations. East winds 10 to 20 mph shifting to the south 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.
Partly cloudy. Isolated rain showers...high elevation snow showers and thunderstorms in the evening...then isolated rain showers and high elevation snow showers after midnight. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the 20s to lower 30s.

Mostly sunny. Patchy fog in the morning. Not as cool. Highs in the upper 40s to lower 60s...except in the upper 30s to lower 50s over the higher elevations. South winds 10 to 15 mph in the afternoon.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this afternoon for heavy snow.
Snow beginning this morning above 9000 feet will continue through this afternoon as snow levels fall to 7500 feet by this evening.
Expect snowfalls of 4 to 7 inches through early evening... with locally higher amounts above 9000 feet. Expect heaviest snow over the eastern slopes of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in Taos County... western Colfax County... and western Mora and northwestern San Miguel counties.
Snow will taper off rapidly this evening from west to east to ease these dangerous winter conditions.
