High temperatures in the mid 90s in New York City will combine with
higher humidity levels to result in heat index values in the mid and
upper 90s this afternoon and early this evening.
A heat advisory is issued for New York City when the heat and
humidity combine to produce heat index values of at least 95 degrees
for more than one day. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air
conditioned environment... stay out of the sun... and check up on
relatives and neighbors.
