Thunderstorms from Platteville southward across the eastern part of the Denver Metro area into Douglas County will move eastward through 6 PM. Some of the storms will be capable of producing an inch of rain in 30 minutes...winds up to 60 mph...frequent lightning...and hail. Minor flooding of streets and intersections will be possible as the storms move through.

At 555 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a line of severe thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. These storms were located along a line extending from 6 miles northeast of Agate to 13 miles northwest of Simla... or along a line extending from 22 miles northwest of Limon to 29 miles west of Limon... moving southeast at 25 mph.
Locations remaining in the warning include but are not limited to Simla... Matheson and Agate.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
Hail... intense rain and strong damaging winds are likely with this storm. Take cover in a substantial shelter until the storm passes.

At 537 PM MDT... National Weather Service Doppler radar indicated a severe thunderstorm capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. This storm was located 8 miles south of Leader... or 35 miles south of Fort Morgan... moving southeast at 35 mph.
Several weather spotters have reported 55 to 60 mph winds and wind damage as this storm moved through the Bennett and Strasburg area.
Locations remaining in the warning include but are not limited to Cottonwood Valley... Shamrock... Leader... Deer Trail and Byers.
