... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 1115 am CDT for
West Carroll... East Carroll and northeastern Morehouse parishes...

At 944 am CDT... local law enforcement reported flash flooding in Oak
Grove. Radar estimates that four to six inches of rain have already
fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lake Providence... Transylvania... Oak Grove... Shelburn... Jones...
Alsatia... Darnell... Monticello... Sondheimer... Millikin... Gassoway...
goodwill... Epps... Kilbourne... Forest... Bonita and Pioneer.

Additional rainfall amounts of two to three inches are possible in
the warned area.

Turn around... dont drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Warning continues for
the Mississippi River near Greenville
* from Sunday evening until further notice.
* At 9:00 PM Saturday the stage was 47.3 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 48.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise above flood stage by Sunday July 05
and will continue to rise to near 49.0 feet by Wednesday July 15.
* Impact... at 48.0 feet... water begins to cover the dirt Road leading
to the farmers grain terminal facility which is north of the
Greenville bridge.

The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of southeast Arkansas...
northeast Louisiana and Mississippi... including the following
areas... in southeast Arkansas... Ashley and Chicot. In
northeast Louisiana... East Carroll... Madison... Morehouse...
Richland and West Carroll. In Mississippi... Humphreys...
Issaquena... Sharkey... Warren... Washington and Yazoo.

* Until 3 PM CDT this afternoon

* heavy rain and thunderstorms will continue to develop over the same
areas through midday and produce rainfall amounts in the 3 to 6
inch range with some locally higher amounts possible.
