... Frost advisory in effect from 1 am to 8 am akdt Monday...

The National Weather Service in Juneau has issued a frost
advisory... which is in effect from 1 am to 8 am akdt Monday.

* Location... wind sheltered interior valleys under mostly clear skies.

* Temperatures... 28 to 36 degrees.

* Timing... temperatures will fall quickly after sunset with
minimums occurring around 5 am. As the frost melts after sunrise
expect patchy fog to develop.

* Impacts... frost can develop at temperatures 35 and below. This
can be damaging to sensitive plants.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An advisory means that frost is already occurring or imminent.

Frost advisories are issued during the growing season so that
sensitive plants can be covered or brought inside before damage
occurs.

Plants subject to damage from frost should be given the
appropriate protection.

This statement will be updated by midnight akdt or sooner if
conditions warrant.
