A line of storms will affect Highway 395 and the northern portion of Lake Roosevelt. Storms developing along the Washington-Idaho border will affect Priest Lake and the Bonners Ferry area. Severe Thunderstorm Warning
Statement as of 5:56 PM PDT on May 29, 2015

... A Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect until 600 PM PDT
for eastern Ferry and western Stevens counties...

At 553 PM PDT... the intitial storm that prompted the Severe Thunderstorm
Warning has weakened and no longer poses a threat of large hail in the
community of Colville.

A new cell capable of penny to quarter size hail is moving toward Lake
Roosevelt from the west. This storm will likely reach peak intensity
near the lake and dissipate while tracking east between Rice and
Kettle Falls. Boaters on the lake in this area should prepare for
another strong storm capable of heavy rain and moderate hail.

This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
eastern Ferry and western Stevens counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds... destructive hail...
deadly lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business. Heavy
rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water
covers the Road.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm... and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
