Periods of light snow will continue along the east slopes of the central mountains and adjacent High Plains through the late afternoon hours. Snow accumulations will be less than a half an inch. Periods of light to moderate snow will impact the southeast plains and favor Chaves...Roosevelt...debaca and Curry counties. Upwards of 1 inch through 5 PM will fall there. Southern Chaves County will see minimal accumulations on the grassy surfaces. Cold air will continue to push from north to south across eastern New Mexico and provide wind chills in the teens.

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect until
midnight MST tonight.

* Snow accumulations... around another 1 inch below 7500 feet and
1 to 3 inches above 7500 feet.

* Timing... snow will continue through this evening before diminishing
by midnight.

* Winds... no widespread significant winds are expected.

* Snow levels... temperatures will be cold enough for snow at all
locations.

* Local impacts... difficult travel conditions will continue due
to snow packed and icy roads. Visibilities will be reduced in
snow. This includes Interstate 25 from Watrous to Raton Pass.
