Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 12:58 PM MDT on July 30, 2015

... The small stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until 300 PM MST
for west central Yavapai County...

At 1254 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated that rainfall intensity
over the area from Yava to Bagdad has decreased... with the heaviest
rain now along the Mohave Yavapai County line. Flooding of small
streams and normally dry washes is likely to continue for another
hour or two... especially across the area from just south of Bagdad
to Yava and northward.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Highway 97 between Bagdad and Highway 93.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.
