Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 8:06 PM MDT on July 07, 2015

... The Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory remains in effect until
915 PM MDT for southwestern Mesa and southeastern grand counties...

At 802 PM MDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Gateway... and along State Road 141 south of Gateway.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause elevated levels on
small creeks and streams... and ponding of water in urban areas...
highways... streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage
areas and low lying spots. Minor mud and rock slides are also
possible... as well as minor flooding of farm and country roads. Do
not attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.
