central Jeff Davis... north central Brewster and west central Pecos
counties until 645 PM CDT...

At 635 PM CDT... a severe thunderstorm was located near Hovey... and
moving northeast at 20 mph.

Hazard... Golf Ball size hail and 70 mph wind gusts.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... people and animals outdoors will be injured. Expect hail
         damage to roofs... siding... windows and vehicles. Expect
         considerable tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to
         Mobile homes... roofs and outbuildings.

central Pecos County in southwest Texas...
north central Brewster County in southwest Texas...

* until 845 PM CDT

* at 551 PM CDT... National Weather Service meteorologists detected
thunderstorms centered 8 miles southeast of Hovey... or 23 miles
north of Marathon... moving northeast at 15 mph. These storms are
producing heavy rain that may result in minor flooding on US Hwy
67.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely.
