Wind Chill Advisory, Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 8:49 PM CST on February 26, 2015

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to
10 am CST Friday...
... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from midnight
tonight to 6 PM CST Friday...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow remains in effect from midnight
tonight to 6 PM CST Friday. A Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect
from midnight tonight to 10 am CST Friday.

* Event... light to moderate snow can be expected across the
central and eastern Oklahoma Panhandle and northeast Texas
Panhandle tonight and Friday... producing accumulations of 2 to
3 inches. Wind chill values of 5 degrees below zero to 8
degrees below zero are expected.

* Timing... snow will begin late tonight and continue into Friday
afternoon. Wind chill values are expected to drop below 5
degrees below zero by midnight and persist through the late
morning hours on Friday.

* Impacts... roads and bridges will likely be snow packed and
icy... resulting in hazardous travel conditions. Subzero wind
chills will cause hypothermia and could lead to frost bite on
exposed skin.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory means that periods of snow... sleet... or
freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for
slippery roads and limited visibilities... and use caution while
driving.

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.
