At 10:55 am...radars detected a line of moderate to heavy rain occurring across parts of northeast Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. This activity stretched from Blue Eye Arkansas southwest to Hanna Oklahoma. Other scattered activity was noted to the north of the main line of rain. Cell movement was to the east northeast at 20 mph. Through 12:30 PM...the line of moderate to heavy rain...with a few rumbles of thunder will continue across eastern Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas. Areal movement will be slow to the north...with cell movement to remain to the east northeast at 20 mph. Hourly rainfall rates between one half and one inch per hour are likely with the heaviest rain that occurs within the slow moving line. Elsewhere... rates of one tenth to one quarter inch can be expected with the less intense...more scattered activity.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect through Wednesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Tulsa has expanded the

* Flash Flood Watch to include portions of northwest Arkansas
and Oklahoma... including the following areas... in northwest
Arkansas... Crawford. In Oklahoma... Haskell... Pittsburg and
Sequoyah.

* Through Wednesday evening

* a swath of 3 to 5 inches of rain is forecast along and on either
side of a line from near lake Eufaula northeastward toward
Bentonville and Rogers... with 2 to 4 inches expected to affect
areas from Stigler to Van Buren. Some isolated locations could
receive as much as 10 inches of rainfall by Wednesday evening.
Dangerous flash flooding will likely be the result.

If you are in the watch area... keep informed... and be ready for
quick action if flash flooding is observed or if a warning is
issued.
