* at 724 PM CDT... a severe thunderstorm was located over Knobel... or
near Corning... moving northeast at 40 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and nickel size hail.

Flood Warning
Statement as of 11:18 AM CDT on May 24, 2015

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a

* Flood Warning for
the Black River at Pocahontas.
* From Tuesday afternoon until further notice... or until the warning
is cancelled.
* At 10:00 am Sunday the stage was 14.1 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Flood stage is 17.0 feet.
* Forecast... rise above flood stage by Tuesday afternoon and continue
to rise to near 18.0 feet by Wednesday early afternoon.
Heavy rain is expected over the next two days and this forecast will likely change.
Please monitor the river forecasts from the National Weather Service in
Little Rock closely over the next few days.
* Impacts at 17.0 feet... agricultural lands along the river east and south of
Pocahontas will be impacted by high water. Equipment and livestock should
be moved to higher ground.

... Flash Flood Watch in effect from Monday afternoon through
Tuesday morning...

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for portions of east Arkansas and southeast
Missouri... including the following areas... in east Arkansas...
Clay... Craighead... Crittenden... cross... Greene... Lawrence...
Lee... Mississippi... Phillips... Poinsett... Randolph and St.
Francis. In southeast Missouri... Dunklin and Pemiscot.

* From Monday afternoon through Tuesday morning

* rainfall totals of 2 to 3 inches are expected in the watch
through Monday evening with locally heavier amounts possible.

* Heavy rainfall may lead to flash flooding. Heavy rains in
short periods of time will result in quick rises in water
levels along area creeks and small rivers. This will also
result in flooded roadways and low water crossings in areas
that receive flash flooding.
