Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 11:32 AM CDT on April 01, 2015

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 10 PM CDT this
evening for thunderstorms for the Loup rivers and Frenchman
basins and for the loess plains...

* affected area... in Nebraska... fire weather zone 209 Loup
rivers basin... fire weather zone 210 Frenchman basin and fire
weather zone 219 loess plains.

* Thunderstorms... there is a risk of dry lightning with
thunderstorms after noon MDT (1 PM cdt) until this evening.

* Outflow winds... highly variable with gusts exceeding 30 mph
possible.

* Impacts... lightning may start fires in the extremely dry cured
grasses. There is also a risk of sudden changes in wind speed
and direction. As a result... the fire front movement will be
unpredictable.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures will
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
