Wind Chill Advisory
Issued: 2:49 PM EST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Chill Advisory in effect from 4 am to 9 am EST
Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Melbourne has issued a Wind Chill
Advisory... which is in effect from 4 am to 9 am EST Wednesday.

The combination of cold temperatures and a northwest wind of 10 to
15 mph will produce a wind chill late tonight and early Wednesday.
The coldest wind chill values will range from the upper 20s across
North Lake and Volusia counties to the lower 30s over Metro
Orlando... Osceola and Brevard counties.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that cold air and wind will combine
to generate low wind chills. Keeping warm will be a priority. Cold
weather episodes often bring a threat of house fires due to
improper use of space heaters. Keep flammable materials such as
blankets... pillows and curtains away from heating elements at all
times.
