Nowcast | as of 10:00 am EDT on September 2, 2014

best chance for early showers or a storm will be over the Treasure Coast counties... At 1000 am...Melbourne Doppler radar showed increasing coverage of small Atlantic showers offshore from around Vero Beach southward. This activity will move west at 15 mph...and should result in showers initially forming over land areas of Indian River...Saint Lucie...and Martin counties...and possibly Okeechobee County as well...through 1:00 PM. Torrential downpours and cloud to ground lightning strikes will be the main concern by early afternoon.
