Tropical Storm Erika remains unorganized as it travels through the northeast Caribbean Sea. Puerto Rico could receive over a foot of rain from Erika, which could help the ongoing drought but could also produce dangerous mudslides. Erika is not forecast to reach hurricane strength until Monday when it curves northward along the east coast of Florida. Follow the live blog

* at 840 am EDT... Doppler radar was tracking a waterspout moving
towards shore near Miami Beach... moving north at 25 mph.

* In addition... frequent to excessive lightning... gusty winds from 45
to 55 mph... torrential downpours... or a combination of these are

small objects. Seek shelter in a safe building until the storm
passes.

* Locations impacted include...
Miami... Pembroke Pines... Hollywood... Miramar... Miami Beach...

Miami... North Miami Beach... aventura... Dania beach... Cooper City...
Sunny Isles beach... West Park... Miami Shores... North Bay Village...

lived... a landfalling waterspout can cause property damage, serious
injury, or even death. Nearby piers... marinas... docks... and beach
facilities are particularly vulnerable. Homes and businesses in the
path of this waterspout may experience some damage... especially to
roofs... porches... awnings... and pool enclosures.
