Nowcast | as of 6:34 am EDT on March 27, 2015

Outflow boundaries from previous convection over the Gulf of Mexico yesterday pushed into central Florida overnight. Increasing wind fields aloft have generated bands of rain with embedded storms along these boundaries early this morning. The individual showers and storms will continue to move toward the east northeast around 40 mph south of a line from Micco to Lake Marian while the boundaries press to the southeast and push out of the area later this morning. Areas north of this line...largely from Brevard and Osceola County northward...will remain dry through mid morning. Then a large area of showers and storms is expected to redevelop by mid day into the afternoon and move from west to east ahead of an approaching cold front. The storms this afternoon will be fast moving and more capable of producing strong...and possibly damaging...wind gusts.
