... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of central Virginia... northern Virginia... northwest
Virginia and western Virginia... including the following
areas... in central Virginia... Albemarle... Greene and Nelson.
In northern Virginia... central VA Blue Ridge and northern VA
Blue Ridge. In northwest Virginia... Madison... Page and
Rappahannock. In western Virginia... Augusta and Rockingham.

* Through late tonight

* moderate to locally heavy rain will overspread the region this
afternoon through tonight. Rainfall totals of one and a half to
two inches are expected in areas near the central and northern
Blue Ridge mountains. Locally higher amounts are possible...
especially along and immediately east of the Blue Ridge.

* Expect small streams and creeks to rise... possibly overflowing
their banks. In addition... flooding may occur in low lying and
poor drainage areas.
