Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 3:22 PM EST Feb. 8, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from midnight tonight to
6 am EST Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory, which is in effect from midnight tonight to 6
am EST Wednesday.

* Hazard types... periods of snow, which may mix with rain at
times.

* Snow accumulations... 1 to 3 inches.

* Timing... snow is expected to develop overnight and continue
during Tuesday and Tuesday night.

* Impacts... slippery conditions will develop, especially during
times of heavier snowfall rates Tuesday and Tuesday night.
Remember, bridges and other elevated surfaces tend to become
slippery first.

* Visibilities... reduced to around one half mile at times.

* Temperatures... dropping to near freezing later tonight, then
rising into the upper 30s for a time Tuesday.

* Winds... northeast 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory for snow means that periods of snow
will cause primarily travel difficulties. Be prepared for snow
covered roads and limited visibilities, and use caution while
driving.

Report snow and ice accumulation to the National Weather Service
by calling our trained spotter line, posting to the NWS Mount
Holly facebook Page, or using twitter @nws_mountholly.

Snowfall and ice accumulation forecast maps in addition to
experimental probabilistic snowfall information for the latest
event are available online at www.Weather.Gov/phi/winter
