... Winter Weather Advisory in effect until 10 PM EST Thursday...

The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for snow... which is in effect until 10 PM EST
Thursday.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 3 to 5 inches.

* Timing... occasional snow showers of varying intensity will occur
this afternoon... and continue right into Thursday evening.

* Winds... west to northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph with gusts
around 25 mph will lead to areas of blowing and drifting snow.

* Impacts... untreated roads will be snow covered and hazardous.
Visibility could be greatly reduced during brief heavier
squalls... and in areas of blowing snow.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Hazardous winter weather conditions are expected or occurring.
Use caution if traveling. For the latest weather information... go
to weather.Gov/statecollege or monitor NOAA Weather Radio.

Thursday.
