... Winter Storm Watch remains in effect from late tonight through
late Saturday night...

* locations... Hancock and southern Penobscot County.

* Hazard types... snow and blowing snow.

* Accumulations... snow accumulation of 6 to 14 inches in a very
narrow band along the coast. Amounts will likely drop off
considerably inland towards interior Hancock County and
southern Penobscot County.

* Timing... late Friday night to Saturday night.

* Impacts... locally heavy snowfall and areas of blowing snow will
result in difficult driving conditions. Snowfall will decrease
later Saturday but blowing snow will continue into Saturday
night.

* Winds... northeast 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph.

* Temperatures... around 20 above.

* Visibilities... a quarter mile or less at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...
