Issued: 6:03 PM EST Feb. 11, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Wind Chill Advisory remains in effect from midnight tonight to
9 am EST Friday...
... Wind chill watch in effect from Saturday evening through
Sunday morning...

The National Weather Service in gray has issued a wind chill
watch... which is in effect from Saturday evening through Sunday
morning.

* Hazard types... dangerous wind chill

* wind chill... as low as 39 below due to temperatures 16 below
to 14 above zero... and winds west 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to
25 mph.

* Timing... cold air will rush in in this evening on gusty
northwest winds and wind chill readings will fall through the
evening... staying at their lowest after midnight into early
Friday. The coldest wind chill readings of the season this far
are expected to occur Saturday night and Sunday.

* Impacts... frostbite and hypothermia if unprotected from the
cold.

* Winds... west 5 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph.

* Temperatures... 16 below to 14 above zero.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Chill Advisory means that very cold air and strong winds
will combine to generate low wind chills. This will result in
frost bite and lead to hypothermia if precautions are not taken.
If you must venture outdoors... make sure you wear a hat and
gloves.

A wind chill watch means the there is the potential for a
combination of very cold air and strong winds to create
dangerously low wind chill values. Monitor the latest forecasts
and warnings for updates on this situation.
