... Coastal Flood Advisory remains in effect from 5 am to 10 am
EST this morning...

* tidal anomaly... around 2 feet above normal.

* Timing... around high tide Tuesday morning. At Washington
Channel... high tide will be at 8:20 am. At Alexandria... high
tide will be at 8:38 am.

* Expected impacts... minor inundation of low lying shoreline...
such as the end of King Street at the strand in Alexandria and
in East Potomac Park in Washington DC.


Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.
