Weather Underground Forecast for Sunday, May 26, 2013.
A low pressure system centered over Europe will maintain showery conditions across most of the continent on Sunday. The system will continue rotating over central Europe, pulling more moisture in from the Mediterranean Sea, while also bringing moisture in from the North Sea. This will maintain showers and thunderstorms from Italy through Hungary and Romania, northward into Poland and Germany. Expect periods of heavy rainfall and strong storms to develop over Germany on Sunday afternoon and evening. Rome will be partly cloudy with showers and thunderstorms with highs in the mid-60s(F)/ upper teens(C), while Munich will be overcast and rainy with highs in the lower 50s(F)/ lower teens(C). Paris will be west of this activity under higher pressure with partly cloudy skies and highs near 60(F)/ 16(C).
Further west, a strong low pressure system spinning over the North Atlantic will approach the British Isles on Sunday, pushing clouds in from the west and bringing a chance of showers to the region late Sunday night, into Monday. London will be partly cloudy and dry with highs in the mid-60s(F)/ upper teens(C), while Dublin will be partly cloudy and windy with highs near 60(F)/ 16(C). To the south, an area of low pressure develops over the Iberian Peninsula, bringing scattered showers to northern Spain and Portugal. Portugal and Barcelona will remain just south and east of this system, maintaining dry conditions with partly cloudy skies and highs near 70(F)/ 21(C).
