Low clouds and precipitation will begin to taper down in Honshu and Hokkaido on Friday as the low pressure system effecting the region exits northeastward into the Pacific Ocean. Central Honshu should expect drier conditions by the morning and clearer skies by the afternoon, while areas north of the region experience more precipitation through the afternoon with drier conditions returning by Friday night. As this system departs, high pressure over the Korean Peninsula builds in across the islands, allowing for a warming trend to develop through the weekend. On Friday, Tokyo will reach a high near 73(F)/23(C) and is expected to reach into the upper 70s(F)/mid-20s(C) during the weekend. Meanwhile, high pressure will continue to dominate the Korean Peninsula through the weekend with fair and dry conditions and warmer temperatures. Seoul will heat up on Friday as daytime highs climb into the lower 80s(F)/upper 20s(C). To the south, a trough of low pressure lingers over southeastern China, allowing for mainly cloudy skies with embedded showers, areas of locally heavy rain, and a few thunderstorms to persist across the region.

For Australia, a cold front reaches Tasmania with rain showers throughout the day and brings chances of rain to the Victoria coast by Friday night. Meanwhile, high pressure along the eastern coast of the mainland provides dry and warm conditions with plenty of sunshine to much of the New South Wales, as well as a few coastal clouds to the eastern Queensland coast.
