Winter Weather Advisory
Statement as of 9:19 PM EST on March 01, 2015

... Winter Weather Advisory now in effect until 4 am EST Monday...

* locations... Cape Cod and Marthas Vineyard.

* Hazard types... wet snow.

* Snow accumulations... 3 to 6 inches on Cape Cod... 2 to 5 inches
on Marthas Vineyard.

* Timing... accumulating snow will come to an end by 2 or 3 am. The
snow will probably change to rain before ending across Marthas
Vineyard and perhaps even the outer most cape near Chatham.

* Impacts... untreated roads will be snow covered and slippery
overnight. Even through the snow will be long over by the start
of the Monday morning rush hour... untreated roads will remain
slippery.

* Visibilities... one half mile or less at times.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Winter Weather Advisory is issued when snow and/or ice is
forecast to develop in the affected areas... but accumulations are
expected to be light. Any snow or ice would result in slippery
conditions on untreated roadways and sidewalks. When temperatures
are below freezing... motorists need to be especially careful on
bridges and overpasses where slippery spots can easily develop.
