* Flash Flood Warning for...
Riverside County in Southern California...

* until 645 PM PDT

* at 427 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated redevelopment of
thunderstorms over the warned area... with additional heavy
rainfall imminent. Additional flash flooding will likely begin
shortly.

* Some locations that will likely experience flooding include...
Idyllwild-Pine Cove... Hwy 243 between Banning and Idyllwild... Hwy
74 between Hemet and Mountain Center... Mountain Center... Valle
Vista and saboba Indian reservation.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... highways and underpasses. Additionally...
country roads and farmlands along the banks of creeks... streams and
other low lying areas are subject to flooding.

* at 211 PM PDT... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
lost horse-Keys Village.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams... as well as farm and country roads. Do not
attempt to travel across flooded roads. Find alternate routes.

evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of California and southwest California... including the
following areas... San Gorgonio Pass near Banning... apple and
Lucerne valleys... Coachella Valley... Riverside County
mountains... San Bernardino County mountains... San Bernardino and
Riverside County valleys- the inland Empire... San Diego County
deserts and San Diego County mountains.

* Until 8 PM PDT this evening

* plentiful monsoonal moisture and instability will create a
significant risk for heavy showers and thunderstorms and flash
flooding. Showers and storms will persist into the early
evening hours before gradually diminishing.

* Recent burn scars will be particularly susceptible to flash
flooding and debris flows. Be alert for issuance of flash
flood warnings from the National Weather Service.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
