The Flood Warning continues for
the White River at Hazleton.
* Until Thursday morning.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river is forecast to have a maximum value of 19.8
feet this afternoon.
* At 20.0 feet... most of the low bottomlands flood. Flooding begins in
higher bottomlands. High water affects any residents in Pottsville
river Cabins. Pottsville Road... north c street on river side of
Railroad tracks and catt street near U. S. Highway 41 are flooded.
Water is near or starting on Giro Road in the vicinity of submerged
Pottsville Road. Oil stripped fields flood. Flood gates must be
installed at Hazleton.

the White River at Petersburg.
* Until Wednesday morning.
* At 10:30 am Tuesday the stage was 17.8 feet.
* Flood stage is 16.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
tonight.
* At 18.0 feet... lowland flooding begins to flood several Pike County
roads. Many of the following County roads begin to flood around
this level... east of sr 57 include CR 750n... CR 600n and CR 1000e.
Pike County Road subject to flooding west of sr 57 include... CR 250
W... CR 400w... CR 675n... CR 700 N... CR 1000w... CR 900w... CR 700w
and CR 775w.

the Wabash River at Mount Carmel.
* Until Monday afternoon.
* At 9:45 am Tuesday the stage was 24.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* At 25.5 feet... extensive lowland flooding in progress. Much of the
flood plain activity is affected by high water. Numerous local
river roads flood.

the Wabash River at New Harmony.
* Until Tuesday July 14.
* At 9:30 am Tuesday the stage was 18.6 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Monday evening.
* Impact... at 19.0 feet... surrounding bottomland is flooded. Harmonie
State Park is closed.

* radar estimates show 1 to 2 inches of rain has fallen already
over broad swaths of the region... while some locally heavier
reports in the 3 to 5 inch range had already caused flooding.
With rivers already in flood... many creeks and streams either
flooding or near bankfull... and more rain on the way over the
next 24 to 36 hours... including the potential for repeat heavy
rains over the same areas... additional flash flooding is
expected.

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
