Windy. Snow in the morning...then snow likely in the afternoon. Areas of blowing and drifting snow through the day. Snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Storm total snow accumulation of 7 to 10 inches. Highs around 10 above. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph.
Colder...breezy. Mostly cloudy in the evening then becoming partly cloudy. Patchy blowing and drifting snow in the evening. Lows 5 below to 10 below zero. Northwest winds 15 to 25 mph shifting to the west 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Wind chill readings 16 below to 26 below zero.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until midnight CST Wednesday night.
Snow intensity will increase into the evening hours with accumulations by 9 PM of two to three inches in central Minnesota and western Wisconsin. After 9 PM... snow intensity will continue to increase with periods of heavy snow expected in southern and eastern Minnesota and western Wisconsin.
The snow will persist through Wednesday afternoon... primarily across the warning areas. The heaviest snow will occur south and east of a New Ulm... to Twin Cities... to a Siren Wisconsin line. In these areas... storm total snowfall amounts of eight inches or more are likely by Wednesday afternoon. Across the remainder of the warning area... six to nine inches are expected... including in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
Increasing winds late tonight will result in blowing and drifting snow. The winds will keep blowing and drifting snow many hours after the snowfall ends. Difficult travel is likely throughout the duration of this system.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means severe winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Only travel in an emergency. If you must travel... keep an extra flashlight... food... and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency.
