Areal Flood Advisory
Statement as of 2:01 PM MDT on September 03, 2015

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for...
south central Maricopa County in south central Arizona...
west central Pinal County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 500 PM MST

* at 159 PM MST... Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause Urban and Small Stream flooding in
the advisory area... mainly west of State Road 347. Up to one inch
of rain has already fallen. An additional half inch of rain is
possible.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Maricopa and AK-Chin Village.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Most flood deaths occur in automobiles. Never drive your vehicle into
areas where the water covers the roadway. Flood waters are usually
deeper than they appear. Just one foot of flowing water is powerful
enough to sweep vehicles off the Road. When encountering flooded
roads make the smart choice... turn around... dont drown.

afternoon...

The National Weather Service in Phoenix has issued a blowing dust
advisory... which is in effect until 3 PM MST this afternoon.

* Affected area... central Maricopa County including the East Valley
in Phoenix. This includes Interstate 8 near Gila Bend and
Interstate 10 coming into Chandler and toward downtown.

* Timing... now until 3 PM.

* Winds... gusts up to 40 mph.

* Visibility... below one-half mile... approaching one-quarter
mile at times.

* Impacts... difficult driving conditions due to reduced
visibility and gusty winds.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be ready for a sudden drop in visibility. If you encounter

Remember... pull aside... stay alive.
