... Winter Weather Advisory in effect from noon Friday to 3 PM

The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for blowing snow... which is in effect from noon
Friday to 3 PM akst Saturday.

* Blowing snow... with visibility of one half mile or less.

* Winds... northeast gusts to 40 mph.

* Timing... blowing snow will cause low visibility by noon
Saturday as winds increase. The strongest winds and lowest
visibility in blowing snow will be Friday night and Saturday.

* Impacts... visibility will be greatly reduced and snow will
accumulate into drifts. Whiteout conditions may occur. Travel
and outdoor activities will be difficult.

hazards are expected to cause travel difficulties.
