Special Statement
Statement as of 1:22 PM MDT on July 04, 2015

... Wet and cooler weather expected Sunday afternoon and night...

A combination of a Canadian cold front moving south into central
Wyoming... and an upper level low pressure system moving northeast
from the Great Basin... will combine to produce rather widespread
rain showers and embedded thunderstorms Sunday afternoon through
Sunday night.

The heaviest rainfall at this time looks to be centered around
the Bighorn Mountains... while most of the mountain areas can
expect rainfall of one-half inch to one inch. Locally higher
amounts are possible. Most of the lower elevations will receive
less rainfall. Areas along the foothills... such as Buffalo...
Casper... Lander... Cody and DuBois have the best chances of
receiving rainfall of one-half inch or more.

The cold front will also cool high temperatures 10 to 20 degrees
from those of Saturday. Highs Sunday will generally be in the 70s
with a few basin locations reaching the lower 80s. Mountain
temperatures will reach the 60s.
