Areas west through north of the metroplex may see an few hundredths of an inch of ice accumulate on less traveled roads and elevated surface. Roads across the metroplex and to the east and south should be thawing with roads being mainly wet and slushy while bridges and overpasses remain slick but slowly improving. At midday...the freezing line ran from Sulphur Springs to Greenville to Hillsboro and down I-35 through central Texas. This line will continue to move northwestward through the afternoon...helping to improve roads. Otehrwise...clouds will hang in all day with northeast winds 5 to 10 mph and winds in the mid 20s over the northwest to mid 30s in the southeast. Periods of light freezing drizzle or light rain are expected off and on during the afternoon.
