At Scottsdale Road and Mayo Blvd... nine small power poles 15 feet long and 1 foot in diameter snapped at the base and four Palo Verde trees knocked down. Time of event estimated. 12/07/2009 1130 PM 4 miles SW of Scottsdale, Maricopa County. Thunderstorm wind damage, reported by newspaper. One large tree knocked down... 14 inches in diameter... near Scottsdale Road and princess Dr. Time of event estimated. 12/07/2009 1131 PM 5 miles SSW of Scottsdale, Maricopa County. Thunderstorm wind gust m68.00 mph, reported by ASOS. Measured by Scottsdale Airport ASOS. 12/07/2009 1110 PM 2 miles N of Avondale, Maricopa County. Thunderstorm wind damage, reported by trained spotter. Power pole damaged near Van Buren and central. Time of event estimated. 12/07/2009 1118 PM 7 miles NNE of Phoenix, Maricopa County.
