Watches & Warnings

Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 7:58 PM CST Feb. 9, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 10 am EST
/9 am CST/ Wednesday...

* timing... scattered snow showers will continue overnight.

* Main impact... light snow and periods of moderate snow showers
will impact travel. Roads will remain or become slick and snow
covered... especially secondary and untreated surfaces. Up to an
additional half inch of accumulation is possible with isolated
higher amounts.

* Other impacts... gusty winds may reduce visibility at times. In
addition... wind chill values will fall into the single digits
to near zero by Wednesday morning.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Research shows that more traffic accidents occur with an inch or
less of snow... before drivers realize that traction is reduced.
Don't become a statistic... slow down and leave extra distance
between vehicles.
