Heat Advisory
Statement as of 3:23 AM CDT on July 29, 2015

... Heat advisory in effect from 7 am this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening...

The National Weather Service in Little Rock has issued a heat
advisory... which is in effect from 7 am this morning to 7 PM CDT
this evening.

* Areas affected: central and southern Arkansas... including the
areas south of Interstate 40... along with Clinton... Heber
Springs... and Conway.

* Heat index: afternoon and early evening heat index values are
expected to reach 105 to 110 degrees.

* Impacts: when it is this hot... and especially for a prolonged
time... heat illnesses become more of a concern.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a combination of hot temperatures and
high humidity will combine to create a situation in which heat
illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids... go to an air-
conditioned room... stay out of the sun... and check up on
relatives and neighbors.
