Updated or ended by 8:10 p.M. MDT.

At 5:49 p.M. MDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a
cluster of severe thunderstorms capable of producing very strong
wind gusts, quarter to toonie size hail and heavy rain.

Two storms are travelling through the area. One over SW Calgary and
one over NE Calgary.

Toonie size hail has been reported in Calgary.

These storms are moving east at 30 km/h.

To report severe weather you can also call 1-800-239-0484

Take cover immediately, if threatening weather approaches. Fast
moving water across a Road can sweep a vehicle away. Large hail can
damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose
objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and
overturn large vehicles. Go indoors and move away from windows and
skylights. Avoid areas of the building that could be affected by
falling debris such as tree limbs. Avoid driving through water on
roads.

Environment Canada meteorologists will update alerts as required.
Please monitor local media or weatheradio. To report severe weather,
send an email to storm(at)ec.Gc.CA or tweet reports to (hash)abstorm.
