Statement as of 8:55 PM PDT on July 31, 2015

... Red flag warning remains in effect from 2 PM to 11 PM PDT
   Saturday...

* thunderstorms: isolated to scattered dry thunderstorms are
possible from late Saturday afternoon through Saturday evening.
Thunderstorms are more likely to be scattered in the mountains
with isolated storms in the valleys.

* Impacts: low humidities... hot temperatures... dry thunderstorms
with gusty and erratic outflow winds... and increasing
thunderstorm activity will create erratic fire behavior and new
fire starts.

* Affected area:
in southwest or... fire weather zones 615... 619 and 620.

* Counties affected: Curry... Josephine... Jackson.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that extreme fire conditions are
occurring or imminent.

Abundant lightning on existing very dry fuels could cause numerous
new fire ignitions. Gusty and erratic outflow winds could also
create extreme fire growth potential.
