... Winter Storm Warning now in effect until 6 am akst Friday...

A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow and local blizzard
conditions remains in effect until 6 am akst Friday.

* Snow... with a storm total accumulation of 6 to 12 inches. The
heaviest amounts will occur over higher terrain.

* Blowing snow... reducing visibility 1/4 mile or less at times.

* Winds... south gusting to 40 mph.

* Timing... snow and blowing snow along with poor visibility will
continue tonight. The worst conditions will be inland over
higher terrain. Conditions will improve Friday morning as snow
diminishes.

* Impacts... travel and outdoor activities will be difficult.
Locally whiteout conditions may develop for short periods.
