Statement as of 5:36 am AKDT on September 8, 2010 ... Daily rainfall record set at Fairbanks... 91 hundredths of an inch of rain has fallen at the Fairbanks International Airport since midnight. This breaks the previous record for September 8th of 59 hundredths of an inch... which was established back in 1920. A total of 1.05 inches of rain has fallen since it started raining late last evening. 42 hundredths of an inch of rain fell in just one hour at the Airport between 2-3 am.
