The National Weather Service in Fairbanks has issued a Winter
Weather Advisory for wind chill... heavy snow and blowing snow
... Which is in effect until 6 am akst Monday.
An approaching storm system will increase wind speeds across the
area early Sunday morning. These winds combined with low
temperatures already in place will create wind chills to 45 below
early Sunday morning before the snow begins.
Snow will begin to fall this morning and will continue into
Monday morning. Storm total accumulation around 4 inches is
expected through Monday morning. The falling snow combined with
wind gusts in excess of 30 mph will frequently reduce visibility
below one mile in blowing snow.
