... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM PDT Tuesday...

* high temperatures... 100 to 105 Monday and Tuesday afternoon.

* Timing... hot temperatures this afternoon between 100 and 105
with very warm low temperatures in the upper 60s to lower 70s
will continue tonight across the Washington Basin. Tuesday
afternoon high temperatures will range in the upper 90s to
near 105.

* Impacts... the potential exists for heat exhaustion and heat
stroke due to the hot temperatures.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. Hot temperatures will create a situation in which heat
illnesses are possible. Drink plenty of fluids... stay in an air-
conditioned room... stay out of the sun... and check up on
relatives and neighbors.
