Fire Weather Warning
Statement as of 10:14 AM PDT on July 04, 2015

... Red flag warning remains in effect until 9 am PDT Sunday for
winds and low relative humidity...

* affected area... the northern half of fire weather zone 675
eastern Washington Columbia Basin... covering southeast
Kittitas Valley... the Yakima Valley... and the Hanford
district.

* Timing... lowest relative humidity combined with stronger winds
expected to occur between 4 PM through 8 PM. Winds are expected
to shift to the north and become breezy tonight.

* Wind... west to northwest wind 10 to 15 mph today. North winds 10
to 20 mph gusting to 30 mph... local gusts to 35 mph... tonight.

* Humidity... 8 to 15 percent this afternoon.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended. Do not release fireworks
near areas of dry vegetation or flammable material.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
