Watches & Warnings

Areal Flood Watch
Issued: 3:22 PM PST Feb. 12, 2016 – National Weather Service

... Flood Watch in effect through Saturday morning...

The National Weather Service in Seattle has issued a

* Flood Watch for a portion of northwest Washington... including the
following County... Mason.

* Through Saturday morning

* heavy rain this morning forced a sharp rise in the Skokomish
River. The river is still running high but is expected to crest
right below flood stage. A warm front will bring more heavy rain
Saturday afternoon through Saturday night. Forecast rain amounts
of 1-3 inches are likely in the Olympics which will likely push
the Skokomish River over flood stage.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible flood
warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared
to take action should flooding develop.
